Easyjet flight change cost difference

So we'd booked Easyjet flights to Gatwick to join our BA flight to Costa Rica at the end of June.

The Costa Rica element has been cancelled and I'm now trying to decide if we should hang tight and see if the flight restrictions are still in place in which case we'll get a voucher for the original amount spent, or change now to somewhere else end of August. Thing is I'm thinking by then only UK flight is the surest bet so if I transferred to Bristol for example as the flights are cheaper I'm not sure what would happen if they were then cancelled. Has anyone swapped flights and if so what does the value of the new flights show as ?

I do have travel insurance and upgraded it to include travel disruption, but from initial discussion with them I don't expect I will get anything from them.

Just in case anyone is interested- probably not - I changed the flights to go to Jersey towards end of August- taking a punt that this might be running. I went in to check and the new flights can also be changed and the receipt still shows original amount paid - didn't pay any extra although return flights were meant to be £5 pp extra

I took advantage of the free flight swop to move flights I'd booked for Oct but no longer want. I've moved them to European flights for March 2021. I'm not sure what either set would have cost but it didn't charge me anything. It was Gatwick Flights I swapped to Geneava flights.

I have Easyjet flights in late July, Gatwick to Montpellier and return. Am hoping Easyjet will release next summer's flights so that I can just move them to next summer. I know I can move them to next Spring, but I don't want to go in the Spring - it's a summer-type holiday you see.

I was just wondering about how changing flights works with EasyJet. We have European flights for end of August from Gatwick. We do not want to go away now and just decided if the flight goes ahead we would just lose the money but wondering whether to change them now for a break next Easter, can it be to a different destination?

@MissClementine Yes, that's right, you can change to any destination. Go into Manage Bookings then you can mess around and see your options and the additional cost if any. I think current flight schedule runs to early May so covering Easter.
