Has anyone stayed in All Star disney resort in Florida

We are about to book our first holiday to Florida, our DD will be nearly 4 I know she will absolutely love it. However, at the moment we have decided on the Disneys All Star - Movie Resort and am reading loads of review, and there is so much info. Overall they say it is fantastic but am trying to find out how far it is from Magical Kingdom, places to eat locally (if any) etc. I would appreciate any tips/advice from anyone hose been there.

Forgot to say we are looking to leave on 1st May 05 - if that makes any difference.

I assume you've looked at this site, which is the Disney site.

It's in the Animal Kingdom part of the complex. You'll be able to get a Disney bus to Magic Kingdom - it's not far. But your daughter will probably also love Animal Kingdom.

On the left hand side of that webpage that I linked, under the heading Location, you can click to see a map of the whole of Disney World.

I stayed there 12 years ago and thought it was fab. It's a short bus ride from everything. We ate breakfast in the resort, which was fine. I remember we hired a car for 2 days so we could escape Disney food!
