i found getting best deals by booking direct. In august, we paid onavaerage $350 per night for 4 star (W times square and sheraton manhattan)

unfortunately the words cheap and hotels in NYC dont really go together.... We stayed at Pensylvania hotel about 5 years ago, cheapsh and cheerful, right opposite maddison square gardens. The rooms were quite small but we were hardly there to be honest, the location was far more important. Very btw
