Yet another half term query ... this time in Dorset or Devon

Would want all home comforts - dishwasher, washing machine, dryer ... but dd1 has also specified rock pools! Any ideas, anyone? Hate SC but sullenly agree with DH that we have to have it.

We stayed here last summer. Gorgeous, and rockpools a-plenty! Combined washer/drier mind

Does it have to be dorset or devon? We stayed the weekend in a place called juliots well just outside camelford in cornwall. Its mainly a caravan site, but they have just built 5 coattages, and we had one of those. Dishwasher, washing machine, lovely kitchen, power shower etc. Four miles from the nearest beach they said. Really nicely done cottages.

Kennacott Court at Widemouth Bay (near Bude) is excellent, just got back from there and dd (three and a half) had a whale of a time. Dishwasher, microwave, washer/drier, swimming pool, games room, golf course, pitch and putt, play room for under fives, adventure playground, badminton court, tennis courts, alpacas, baby sitters and maid service available ... the list goes on. Everything that you could possibly need. The local beaches aren't soft, golden sand but they have plenty of rock pools, great geology, and even in October we were able to paddle. I would really recommend it.
