Xmas Winter Sun..?

Looking at going to either the Canaries (bu thwich island?) or Sharm-el-Sheikh. The travelling party will be me, my DH, my sister and my 2 yr old son. We want sun, a decent hotel with a pool and nothing too pricey. Any suggestions or reccomendations before I start trawling the web? Thanks! xx

have only been tofurteventura out of those... it was nice enough... good for families. quiet. stay down at corralejo (is where all the beach dunes are) or up the top there the big town is.
course, i went in 1994... it may have change d a wee bit since then!

ive heard sharm el sheikh is lovely... but is it as far sounth as canaries? and therefor not as warm in winter? me nono.

i was there about NY time when i went and was kinda overcast, but warm/hot. and we got tans without really thinking it was sunny enough.

jennster booked a great looking villa on Lanzarote i think... James villas it was.

what do you think about taking a 3mth old baby to sharmel sheikh in january for a holiday?Is it wise? will of had the appropriate jabs by then?
