Anyone been to the Los Zocos apartments in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote?

Review sites are showing mixed responses - everything from the best place on earth to the worst!
We're thinking of going all inclusive with DD (4) and DS (2). Any info appreciated

We went about 8 years ago Birdly - so my opinion not much good I expect. They have been refurbished since then and were in a good position, not far from the beach. We had interconnecting 1 bed apartments, no complaints about them at all.

I think the process of refurbishment is still ongoing from what I can tell on the reviews sites. It seems to be luck of the draw whether you get lovely clean apartments or something altogether more yukky!

please consider Playa Flamingo apartments in Playa Blanca,(read reviews on trip advisor) they are a Thompson super family and have been voted (this year) best out of the 23 in Europe.They do half board but we did bed and breakfast as there sre some lovely restraunts including free bouncy castle etc near your apartments which have direct access to 2 lovely beaches.

We went there four years ago, if you get a room/apartment in the new/refurbished block then they are quite nice and roomy. reception staff very helpfull when I had to rush DD to hospital one night (no fault of the hotel!). The pools were very cold but busy. lots of sunbeds to be had. Beach is lovely, not at all comercialised.

We went self catering so can't comment on the food but there were plenty of lovely little restuarants on the beach front- all very friendly, lovely food and they adore children. Look out for the "lucky lucky" men at night selling tat (Jewellery) that turns your skin green- they take the hint very quickly and we actually found them nice!
