Planning to book a short break in the next few weeks, where do we stand with our travel insurance if there is a restriction on movement in the UK. I think this may come under "act of God" clause. Any thoughts would be useful.

Personally we have shelved plans for outside the UK for the moment as we feel the insurance might not cover it but its best to ask them and get a writen reply.

I think you would lose the money but can ask insurer. There's a lot not being covered by insurance and a lot of people losing money at the moment. I wouldn't be booking. We've booked and I'm in process of trying to get money back but insurers won't pay out atm and lots non-refundable but Thailand have just announced a 14 day quarantine for French people. DH is French.
