Where should we go!?

Hi everyone just looking for some suggestions on where we can go on holiday this year. DD is 12 months old at the moment, we are going to centre parcs in June but hoping to get away somewhere abroad in mid October (only week me and DH can both get annual leave from work).
Will be the first time we have taken DD abroad, she will be 20 months old at the time, we want somewhere that's still warm in October, not too long a flight and reasonably priced. Have looked at a few hotels in Spain etc but they all seem to stop the entertainment and close certain parts after September. Have thought about the canary islands but only thing putting me off is the 5/6 hour flight with DD Any ideas appreciated :) x

6 hours to the Canaries? Where do you live? It’s just over 4 hours from mainland U.K. It does seem to be the obvious choice for what you are looking for. Any shorter flight will not get such good weather at that time of the year.

Majorca shuts down at the end on october, we went a couple of years ago at the beginning of Oct and it was fab. Not very hot just lovely shorts and t shirt weather. We went the following year at the end of Oct and watched everything shut down! It s s gamble but this is reflected in the much cheaper prices. t

I would def go back just not at the end of the season! But if you could go in Sept, the chances are it will be lovely

@britwife I live north of Scotland, it takes roughly 5 hours but always end up being a bit delayed in my experience hence why I said 5/6 :).

The Aegean coast of Turkey is beautiful in October. We go to Dalyan, such a beautiful place with an unspoiled, world heritage beach. Weather in October is perfect, mid 20s.
