Winter snow break

We are looking at a short mid week break from around October - mid November somewhere in Europe, so either connectable using the Eurostar or short plane journey to somewhere guaranteed to see snow. DS is desperate for some snow and to build a snow man! Can any one recommend anywhere that fits our criteria please?

Only place we've been to that has guaranteed snow - and it's all year round is Hintertux due to glacier. It was a flight to Innsbruck then hire car down there. We went in May half term and there was lots of snow and they have an ice palace there too where you go under the top of the mountain.

Zell am See in Austria and go to the Kitzsteinhorn glacier.
