We have a 17 month old and just want to get away for a bit but the only week DH can do due to work is starting the end of March.
What will the weather be like? Ok for DS to have a paddle?!

March only tends to be about 20 / 21 / 22 which is probably a bit nippy for a toddler to be doing much paddling she says, having holidayed in Wales for years when hers were little

It depends what you mean by a paddle - of course he could, but it will be a bit nippy.
20 - 22 is nice enough for adults to be walking around in shirt sleeves, but not really lying on a sunbed, complaining about how hot it is. Wink

I love Fueteventura but would only go in summer because it's always windy which makes it feel cool even in August.
Any of the other Canaries would be better but you'd need a heated pool in March.

The canaries are no good for a young child in the sea as the water gets deep very quickly because it’s the Atlantic not the Mediterranean.

But most hotels will heat the pool at that time of year.

TENERIFE and Gran Canaria are less windy.

Windy. Agree need heated pool. South tenerife would be a better bet weather wise but it's still spring.

Thanks everyone. DH has also suggested the Algarve. I just think it's going to be too cold to relax - I'd rather go to center parcs but I'm shocked at the cost of it!
