Holidays
Alcudia or Lisbon

I can't seem to decide between the two. Its for 2 adults and 2 12 year olds. One is my daughter's friend. So it rules out a lot of holidays as we need separate rooms. It really hard to find these on the usual booking sites.
I have seen apartments in both places. I have also tried to find hotels with adjoining rooms but I am not sure I trust this having been stung before. We are looking for maybe a day or two relaxing and a day or two sightseeing, boat trips or the like. Probably for about 5 nights.
I think Lisbon is coming out cheaper but the villas/apartments with pools look lovely in Alcudia but are probably a trek from the main resort.
A pool is a must. Which is better with preteens?

What about Cacais or Estoril, which are on the coast but near Lisbon?

Having been to Lisbon a few times for the day I don't know what we would do for longer? I would head to the coast sea side type place

Seriously!
There is loads to see and do in Lisbon. You can't possibly see it all in a day.

I loved Lisbon. I found it interesting with loads of character and, unusually for a capital city, the people were very friendly and helpful.
The castle, the old town, museums, gardens, food and drink, and just general wandering around would easily take a few days.

Lisbon has absolutely tons to do. I've been twice for weekends and still missed things. One of my favourite cities.
If you need a day out get a train to sintra. It's awesome

Both very different, I'd imagine, Alcudia very resorty, and a big trip from anywhere interesting, like Palma. Could you not go to Palma instead? Then you've got a city break with a beach thrown in.
But think Lisbon would be fab and definitely get my vote out of the 2.
