Centre Parc style holiday in Italy
DentalPatient · 11/02/2020 21:53
My DS has his heart set on visiting Italy this year and staying somewhere near Rome but hopefully also near a beach for our younger dd. We love centre parcs and lodge style accommodation but not so keen on static vans, so does anyone know log cabin style parks in Italy.
Otherwise we would consider apartments with access to a pool if anyone can recommend.
Would prefer to pay a bit more rather than a budget experience but not too expensive.

It’s not very close to Rome, but it’s right by the beach www.argentariocampingvillage.com/en/

Nearly all campsites in Italy have lodge style accomodation. Most also have kids entertainment. We stayed in a campsite in Florence that is like a city campsite with a shuttle bus to the centre. That was good too.

I’ve seen lots of lodge style accommodation advertised but they are all very tiny, with fold out beds i the living area and the only eating space being outside.looking for some comfortable space indoors to lounge around in the evening when kids are in bed.

Thank you for the link rice Krispy but again the largest accommodation is two roomed with the kids beds folding out in the living area, seems to be all that is available in Italy.

Are you sure you won’t do ‘posh’ static caravan? There’s things like this

We have done static van holidays, but my husband has a bad back so by the end of a weeks holiday is crippled.

I don’t find the beds in a posh static caravan any different to that in a log cabin. In fact you know the log cabins are often just clad static caravans?

Loads of campsites actually own bricks and mortar apartments near their complexes too. A solution could be to phone a few places where you like the pool/facilities/entertainment and ask whether they have any apartments to rent.

Or look up agriturismo near Rome and find one with awesome food at one with nature and a pool and park for less than 130 a night. Random example, there's probably even better:www.arsnaturae.com/room/appartamenti/
