On the beach

I have been looking at holidays and found one I want to book, I was going to book through on the beach but decided to check trust pilot and noticed quite a few reviews saying that after booking they were called by on the beach to tell them that their holiday price has gone up and they need to pay an extra £200+ to guarantee the holiday. THis has put me off them as I don’t want to end up paying more but then I’m after a certain hotel so limited on sites I can book it on.

I booked with them last year without a problem. Everything went smoothly and I have no complaints. I’ve only used them once though, so can’t really give a balanced view.

We've used them 6 or 7 times now and never had any problems - even when I messed up and accidentally booked wrong hotel they swapped it over - although I did have to pay a admin fee

I wonder why people are saying they were called and asked to pay more for their holiday then? Hmm it’s hard because the same holiday on jet2 would mean paying an extra £200. Struggling with what to do

It could be because they don't book the flights straight away and maybe the flight prices go up between your booking with OTB and them booking the flights.

I didn't realise this when I booked and then had a nervous few hours until the flight confirmation came through.

I like their search functionality but in future, I think I'll use them to search, and then look at booking direct for the flights and accommodation, which is often cheaper anyway as they don't have to pay commission to the intermediary.
