Thinking of booking it for DH 45th birthday in spring next year - he has always wanted to go. Will want to take our 3 chld, all under 10. Is there enough to do for them? Any tips on hotels, eating out, travel agents? Will want to surprise him, have to get it right!!
Thanks in advance!

Hi - I just got back from five nights with dh, 5 year old and 1 year old and it was really great

id recommend you look at escapetoprague website and book an appartment - ours was huge and very central - not expensive

pick up some library books - the dk top 10 things to do is great

the lonely planet one is good too and both have sections on what to do with kids

there are parks everywhere (including a new one with swings etc right by charles bridge) dotted around to break things up

loads of great cafes - bohemia bagel is good for kid friendly food

metro and trams really easy and cheap - free for kids - not crowded but people always gave us seats and more space - very friendly - people with kids/buggies everywhere so you feel pretty normal!

we are really glad we went! check the weather though - its like here though slightly more prone to rain!

there was a place in wencelas square near the astronomical clock where they served strawberry dumplings and craime fraiche. its heavenly (not a word i use often) and make sure you visit St Vitus Cathedral, its the home of the infant of prague and i swear i got goosebumps. if you will ever believe in god its there!

oh thanks for those tips guys, will get on that website too. Hadn't considered an appt, but that sounds ideal.
Will keep on looking!
