California coast- Monterey/Carmel/Pismo beach

Has anyone got any hotel recommendations for a stay for a few nights between San Francisco and Santa Barbara with 2teens?

We stayed at the Tickled Pink Inn at Carmel. With teens you might want somewhere nearer the beach but I can recommend Carmel very highly. I think it’s nicer than Monterey but that might also suit teens. Go whale watching if you can from Monterey.

We stayed in the mariposa inn and suite in Monterey. Massive big room. Outside terrace and swimming pool. Breakfast included. Opposite a shopping mall and cinema so handy for eating out too. In Pismo beach we stayed in Shorecliff hotel. Nice hotel with a good pool and again breakfast included. All the rooms have a sea view. Walk along the beach to the centre with plenty restaurants. Weather was not kind to us when we were there in July so rather than lying by pool we ended up going to Solvang for day.

The Monterey Bay Inn was great. We could watch sea otters from our room.

Highly recommend Bug Sur River Inn for a night and agree that Shorecliff Hotel in Pismo Beach is a good option.

I have stayed at The Lighthouse Suites at Pismo Beach. Very nice hotel right on the beach. Rooms were large and very comfortable.
