Travelling worry

Hello!
Myself and my husband have booked a 10 day all inclusive holiday to Mexico for the end of May/beginning of June and we have secured the holiday with a booking deposit (100)
I've just found out I am pregnant and will be around 23 weeks then. I'm feeling very anxious about going ahead with this.. if anything was to happen I'd be so far away/also involves a lot of travelling for 10 days.
My question is; what would you do in this situation?
Is there anywhere else you would recommend going that isn't too far and is still sunny?

Thank you x

If it has always been your dream to go to Mexico, I would consider still going. Otherwise I might switch to somewhere in Europe. It is a long trip if you just want some sun and a beach/pool to relax by and are pregnant. The other thing to consider it the chances of food poisoning are higher in Mexico and have significant problems for pregnancies. How about the Med or Florida

I'd rebook for somewhere else because if you are worrying about it then you won't enjoy it as much.

Have you checked the position re Zika virus? I think the current advice is still that pregnant women shouldn't travel to Mexico. If check it.

Zika guidance aside (do check), I'd make sure I had decent travel insurance and still go. But I like to travel and would relish such a holiday. If it's likely to be spoilt by worry, then I'd consider changing plans.

I just checked for you and the current advice is that Zika is still an issue and pregnant women are advised not to travel to Mexico.

Thank you all for your advice! Zika didn't even cross my mind so thank you for reminding me!x
