Looking for recommendations as I’m on a very tight budget.

I’m looking for a two week (or 10 nights) break from around the 24th July for under £1000 and I’m not sure it’s possible. As I will be recovering from surgery I will be unable to drive/fly so looking for ferry from North - preferably Newcastle, so I’m thinking Amsterdam.

Essentials are - pool as DDs are coming and will want to be able to send them out for activities if I’m needing to rest, close to port as will need taxi to park, close(ish) to a big town/city so we can sight see for the day if/when I’m up to it.

Have a look at Duinrell - I haven’t been but heard nothing but good about it and there’s a huge water park there.

Thanks Piaf over budget unfortunately Sad

There's a center parcs at De Emmhof with a big pool (though it's all looking a bit tired) and there is a holiday park in Medemblik with a smaller pool called bungelowpark Zuiderzee. In Medemblik you can also swim in the Isselmeer. You can do day trips to Lelystad and Enkhuizen where there is a massive open air museum. There is also a center parcs in Zandvoort which is right on the beach and in walking distance of the town centre and shops.

10 days or two weeks for under £1000 will be very hard to find though especially in the middle of Summer.

Thanks Murinae I’ll check those out. I know it’s asking a lot, but you never know - fingers firmly crossed!

Sun Parks! Ooistdunkirke an zee might suit you. Not too far from Dunkirk and has a pool :)

Do you mean Amsterdam or the Netherlands? Because anything in Amsterdam is expensive.

Trains in NL are cheaper than in the UK, so day trips might be more doable for you if you choose a center parcs/ landall or roompot close to a train station.
