Hi there
I’m looking to move to Rochester. I’m currently checking out the area and will be commuting into London Cannon Street. Which of the following trains are likely to be less busy and the chance of getting a seat? I have chronic pain condition so need a seat when commuting. Thanks a bunch :)

Trains I’m considering are:
7:26
8:11
8:32

Oh dear - I used to do this exact commute, but too long ago to remember my timetable; and the trains wouldn’t be running at the same times now anyway.

All I recall is that I lived five minutes walk from Rochester station but could run there in half that time in a rush. (IE every morning.). And that the journey was the perfect length to make a mental translation from home to work and vice versa.

Sorry I can’t actually help!

I can't remember the exact number of calling points from Broadstairs (this is where the train starts) but in my experience with Southeastern the earlier the train the better chance of a seat. I sometimes get lucky on the 0734 which I get every morning - but I'm much closer to London with only 20 mins on the train

Apply to TFL for a "please offer me a seat" badge - useful for passengers with hidden disabilities.

Ah thank you for the help. I do have a “please offer me a seat badge” but it does nothing. I also have a walking stick I sometimes have to use which I hate using; but believe be even that does nothing. I’ve had to ask for a seat before and the abuse you get back is shocking.

So it’s one of the reasons I’m looking to move further down the line :)

Thank you for the advice!!
