Mauritius in July with teens

We re thinking of booking a trip to Mauritius with our DSs age 16 and 13. Have never been there before.

Can anyone recommend a good hotel for teens with activities and teen company if possible.

I have read we should avoid the East coast because of winds.

Any tips from anyone greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Mauritius isn't very warm in July so check you are OK with the average temperatures

We went in July several years ago with out older teens and stayed at The Maritim in the North West of the island. It was a beautiful hotel although as mentioned the weather wasn't brilliant....low to mid 20s and rained most days!

We've been to Maritim too. Yes it wasn't mega hot and some days there was the chance of rain but the kids loved it and we sat and drank gin under cover by the pool when it rained.

The kids did their PADI and horse riding, loads of water sports.

Stay in the north of the island. In July the weather will be warmer.
