Looking for a recommendation for a good strong travel bag to put our maxi cosi car seat in that can be checked into the hold for flying?

We've used our red Gate Check bag for many years. Less than a tenner on Amazon, simple drawstring closure, does the job. Ours has a few holes now (the start of tears, but it's rip stop fabric). We've repaired it with duct tape. All the seats that have travelled in have survived.

Lots of people also use builders' rubble sacks (the really thick, strong polythene bags) and close them with cable ties. If you get see through ones they have the advantage that handlers can see exactly what they are moving, but the disadvantage that you can't stow extras (nappies, towels, any other bulky stuff) in with the seat so easily! You'll also need to remember where you put your scissors in your checked luggage to get the cable ties off at the airport if you'll be using the seat straight away!

I bought a padded black rucksack from Amazon as we had the gate check bag mentioned above but it fell apart. New one was about £26 and is much more robust.
