Travelling to Hong Kong?
ItsTheKissing · 26/01/2020 11:14
Holiday planned in next two weeks to Hong Kong. Adult only trip so no kids or elderly or anyone with chronic illness. Would you go? There is no info from foreign office on travel yet.
Are there any HK MNers out there who can offer some advice

I'd still go. My sister lives there and my parents are visiting her at the moment and other than everyone wearing surgical masks, life is carrying on as normal. As long as you're all normally healthy with nothing underlying and you wash you're hands lots, I think you'd be fine.

Thanks. We have brought masks, hand gel etc and are prepared in that sense but I have read that several attractions are closed; do you know if that's the case? Have all the markets etc stayed open?

I am due to go early march and at this point am still planning on going. I will invest in a mask, wear glasses and bring surgical gel and use these precautions in public transport hubs.
