Holidays
Seoul

I'm going to Seoul this summer after wanting to visit for over a decade!
Has anyone been? Have any tips, or must see places?
Thank you

I have been several times and it's a fabulous place!
Really easy to get around on the metro and you can get a luxury coach from the airport to the city, much cheaper than a taxi. I usually stay in the Myeongdong area - great for shopping, restaurants and metro access.
DMZ is an interesting day out, but check that trips are currently allowed.
You can hire a hanbok in lots of places and wear it for the day - very popular and dd loved it.
changing of the guards at the palace - Gyeongbokgung and Deoksugung
insadong - pedestrian area with small shops and galleries and the is a Buddhist temple nearby/
Nanta - theatre - slapstick cooking show - you don't need to understand Korean to enjoy it
Folk museum
Seoul tower - amazing views
Go to Bukchon to see traditional houses - apparently it is used for filming and you will see lots of people there wearing traditional clothes

Thank you, lots of ideas there for me to look into.
I'm thinking of staying in Insadong which is I think in walking distance of some of the palaces you mentioned. I would also like to do a day cookery course.
Very excited!
