Child first passport HELP!!!!

Hi all im new to this site so please any info will help me massivley!!
So i want to get my 14 year old daughter a 1st time passport even tho her dad is on the birth certificate we havent seen him for years!! Can i get her a passport without any information on him? As i will be giving hes name and all my details im in london uk

You can give as much info as you have about him but you dont need his permission or signature. If you have a British passport then provide those details where they ask for them

As above, it’s not an issue (my eldest DD has a similarly in/out of her life Dad!). One piece of advice I would give (especially if you have different surnames) is depending on where you are going (Europe was fine but I was detained for a couple of really horrible hours in security in Toronto once when eldest DD was 2) get a letter confirming sole guardianship. You can write this yourself basically saying you have full and sole guardianship of DD, get this counter signed at a solicitors (take along her birth certificate and your passport). Also detail the details of the trip, flight numbers and where you will be staying. It’s a pain but covers you - at least in your situation your DD is old enough to confirm you aren’t kidnapping her without her Dads consent!
