Hotels in Bahamas

Hi All. Bahamas in October and need to find a hotel. I'm not a fan of the high rise big ones, looking for something a bit more personal/private or adults only

Any recommendations?

What state are the islands in after the flooding? Which island?

I think it's ok, I looked at advisory boards etc. It's Nassau.

Or I think there's a Four Seasons.
Does it have to be Nassau? IMO the best of the Bahamas is the out islands.

Not necessarily we have one week so open minded as long as it's not a massive schlep.
