Best tablet recommendations

Looking to buy a tablet suitable for a 2 1/2 year old. This isn't for everyday use but to take with us on long journeys and in particular a long haul flight. Please can people share their recommendations on which would be easiest to use and best value for money?

My DD had various tablet style thingies and an actual tablet about age 5. When she was a toddler, tablets didn’t hold her interest for very long. It’s likely to get dropped (a lot) so if you do want them something separate to your own I’d go really really cheap and buy a very sturdy case!

@SJaneS48 yeah we definitely don't want something too expensive! I'm not sure she'll be interested at all, just trying to thing of things to occupy her during a long flight x

Amazon do a Kids Fire with a very robust case - and if you manage to break it they'll replace it no questions asked! (You can also take it out of kids mode if you wanted to use it whilst away)

Longhaul usually have lots of films/TV progs available for all ages.
I suggest you check your airline - you'll probably not need a tablet.
