Help me plan my family trip to Paris

OK travelling in mid July for a 4 nights with DH and DS (7). Just looking at prices of apartments and gulp ... thought I had found something in Latin Quarter but no air-con. DH keen we look for something with air-con as he says it can get extremely hot in paris in July.

Really not sure where to stay within our price range - ideally no more than £200 per night, and we need an apartment rather than hotel, as we have food allergies to deal with.

Any thought re areas, apartment chains, places to go and visit. DS wants to see the Eiffel Tower and I would quite like to go to the Pompidou centre but beyond this no ideas

Am getting bamboozled

We went a few years ago and stayed at an apartment run by a chain called Citadines and that was OK. The one we stayed at was on Boulevard Richard Lenoir I think. We weren't there in summer though, so don't know about air con. I remember we booked tickets for a particular time slot for the Eiffel Tower to avoid lots of queuing. They only released a limited number of advance tickets, so we had to book quite a long time in advance.

Thanks @lilypond. Hadn't thought about booking Eiffel Tower tickets in advance ...
