Hi

We're looking at Catolica for next years holiday when DD will be 2.5 and new baby should be 7 months.

Has anyone been to this area? Hopefully I will be breastfeeding the new baby then - does anyone know if that'll be ok to do on the beach/restaurants etc (very discreetly of course).

Thanks for any experiences

Hi Loucee,

Catolica is lovely. Stayed there three years ago., when did not have children but would deff recommend for families.

The beach is fabulous, for young children each hotel has section, that has things for young children. Really clean and orderly, though you will have to pay for hire of sun loungers 10 -15 euros, this gives you access to amenities.

Resturant are really good and seem to be family friendly.

We will be going back with ds.

loucee, I have not been to Cattolica but lots of friends have or are from there or thereabout. It'll be perfect for kids and you'll be fine with the breastfeeding I am sure. You should have everything close: shops, restaurants, beach, play areas and 'gelateria' to get a nice italian icecream and look at the young super-sleek italians cruise the streets!

A very unhelpful coment but coincidentaly passed through it last night on the train (from Ancona to Vienna). I'm sure it's great as long as you are prepared for the full one Italian beach experience .
