Long weekend with friend, short haul but sunny - June / early July or Oct

Looking for a long weekend away (3-4 nights) with a friend. Looking for nice hotel, pool near beach. Just wanting a few days of sunbathing, reading, drinking wine and chatting!!

Wanting to go outside of school holidays, hopeful DH's can step up on childcare!

Have around £800 between us to spend, looking at somewhere like Greek Islands, Spain etc. Could fly from London airports or Birmingham. Probably not Italy as so expensive for meals out

Can anyone recommend a hotel (preferably half board or more) than is chilled out and lovely?!!! (& preferably does twin rooms)

The places I've enjoyed most with friends is Mykonos (but that was about 10 yrs ago so might have changed!) Stayed in myconian ambassador which had waiter service by the pool so can't get more chilled than that! Its a short taxi ride into town or short walk down to beach that has restaurants and bars. It was fab but may have changed I guess. I just commented on another post to say innside Palma center was also lovely hotel - v stylish with roof top pool, bar and restaurant so can easily spend a day just chilling out there but Palma is fab for shopping and eating out and not too pricey depending where you go. I'm looking for long weekend away too so I'll keep an eye on this for ideas myself!

I think you will find Tenerife or Lanzarotte are cheaper. I’ve had nice breaks in both places.
