Anyone been to Sunsail's Club Colonna in Antigua?

We're about to book for a fortnight at this club but were wondering about a couple of things. We've got an active almost two year old son and were trying to work out whether the flight upgrade to "Star Class" was worth it? Are the seats significantly bigger etc?

Also re accomodation, we're trying to work out whether it would be better to stay on the ground floor or top floor in terms of convenience, mosquitos (?) or anything else.

Any and all advice gratefully received!

I have not been myself, but know someone who has, it is meant to be great for kids and sailing.

Economy on long haul is far better than most shorthaul seats. If you can afford the upgrade, most are worth it.

Most hotels will only put families with small children into groundfloor rooms, for safety reasons (hotel policy/insurance) etc.

Take a good mosi repellant for children. Roll ons, I find, are good and don't stink the whole room out. you can get them as wipes too (with DEET) which are very good for putting on wriggly lo's.

As soon as the sun goes down the mossies come out. So take care to keep the windows/doors closed and air con on when is is dusk. They like vegetation, so don't sit anywhere near bushes etc.

Enjoy

We did Sunsail charter in BVI at Easter and wondered about upgrading but other people we knew said it really wasn't worth it.

Flying with children is painful - whatever class you are in and remember that if you upgrade people might not be that welcoming of your little child being himself whereas in cattle class everyone is welcome!

my children have been but they were teens and enjoyed it, they could all sail already...think it is a good resort
