Has anyone done SA with kids?
Wondering if we can fit a safari & beach in during a couple of weeks.

Interested to hear about anyone's experiences... Smile

Look at Madikwe, malaria free the traversing rights are great so we went all over and saw everything. Amazing experience!

We went to SA last August with two teen boys. We spent week one near Hermanus (Mosaic Private Sanctuary, lovely) and in CT (Waterfront, bland but safe), and week two in Madikwe (Thakadu River Camp, lovely) and Sun City (not for us).

It was a bit of special trip for us and I'm glad to have seen SA, especially the beautiful CT area, however, I would not go again, at least not until it feels safer. I felt constantly worried about the violence (we were there when a record number of people - 47 - were killed over one weekend in CT, including a tourist on Table Mountain). I also worried about the driving (the roads were good but not other drivers). These worries limited what we did. So, I wouldn't go again until it's a lot safer.
