I CAN’T DECIDE!!!!

I am one of those people who over-researches everything and consequently have backed myself into a corner re taking a decision on a holiday. We had a shitty year last year and we REALLY need a break. We haven’t been able to afford to go abroad for 5 years so I want this to be worth the wait...
I’m looking for something with a decent pool to keep kids happy (8 & 5), but not keen on busy, noisy, ‘animation team’ type places. It’s just not my bag...
I thought I had decided on Turkey but not sure how wise that is given current Iran situation? Also looked at Menorca, Corfu and Costa Brava. We’re in NI so flight options limited. Leaving end of June for 10-14 days.
Can anyone recommend this type of aparthotel/holiday before I give up and book Ibiza again, where we’ve been three times already 😂
Villas are a nice idea but we’d like there to potentially be other kids about so ours can make friends! AI would be considered if it didn’t have all the animation stuff and music at pool/forced fun I mentioned earlier...
thanks in advance!

Italy is lovely as is Portugal ... some families but as it's still term time shouldn't be too noisy

I have been to Italy many times as a relative lives there and while it’s lovely, I get eaten alive by mosquitos. I’m worried they would ruin my holiday as I seem to be pretty allergic - I come out in welts.
Never done Portugal, can you recommend any decent apartments/areas?

Should add, it’s not other people I’m trying to avoid - just prefer the more chilled out places.

Cruise? We did one with the kids aged 3 & 5 we have now done 14.
Majorca? Plenty of choice, cheapish.
No we haven't been but have you looked at Bulgaria?
