Can anyone recommend a hotel in Rome that would be within walking distance of any metro station?

Depends on your budget!

Hotel Milton Roma

It is across the road from Manzoni metro station, less than a minutes walk.

The hotel is nice enough but not amazing. We stayed 4 nights because it was a good price and I would be happy staying there again.

The location is very good although there was some street noise but it didn't bother us really as it was all part of being in the city centre of Rome.

Staff were very nice and helpful. Rooms were dated but very clean which is what matters most to us!

It's a few years since we stayed there, so my dated comment may no longer apply if it has been refurbished since we visited.

I've recommended it to friends who also stayed and were very happy with the location and the hotel in general.

I should have added... We paid £300 per person for 4 nights including breakfast and BA flights from Edinburgh to Heathrow, Heathrow to Rome and back. We went in February 2017 so those prices are from 3 years ago.
