French Alps summer holiday with teenagers

When the DCs were little we rented an apartment in the French Alps and had a lovely time hiking and cycling. Now they are older we would like to return but there is a now requirement for some lazing around by a pool/lake in between activities. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks

The apartments at Pierre & Vacances Le Rouret in the Ardèche were perfect for our multi-family holiday a few years ago but the surroundings weren’t typically alpine! Lots of hiking and cycling though.

The campsites usually have pools or lakes. We’ve stayed in safari style tents in the Alps before- proper beds/fridges etc., and very comfortable.

You could stay near lake annecy and you’re near the alps. Is a beautiful part of France

I would suggest Les Gets as there is a very nice swimming lake there and the village is a good base for a summer holiday. As well as mountain biking and walking you can swim in the 50 m outdoor pool in nearby Morzine or drive a few miles further to Chatel to do the Fantasticable zip wire which is quite an experience. We stayed in the Annapurna Apartments in Les Gets booked through Peak Retreats. I would also recommend St Gervais and Samoens for a summer holiday in the Alps.

Wow, thank you very much. Will investigate and let you know where we end up.

Have a look at Huttopia we have been to vallouise and to Bozel - both great sites - the trappuer tents have shower rooms and are fab - very chilled out vibe but with a small bar and pool

@foxandhounds- we’d like to do Vallouise in the summer. We stay just above in Puy St Vincent every Easter time. The rest of the family ski, and I snowshoe trek. I absolutely love it. We always do the river walk in Vallouise, and say how great it would be to kayak down it. Nanys restaurant is also a yearly highlight.
