Where to go in September with 22 month old?

I need Mumsnet’s wisdom please! We’re planning our first family holiday abroad next September - 1 week, short flights only so Majorca, Portugal, Lanzarote maybe (haven’t been to any of them tho!)

Ideally we’d like a 4/5* aparthotel on a b&b basis, within walking distance to bars and restaurants. We really want to be able to put DD in her own room so we can go for early dinner then potter in the apartment in the evening, but most luxury-looking places we’ve found only offer suites or 1 beds - does it work having them in with you if they’re not a great sleeper?

We’ve looked at the Zafiro Hotel and Vista Blue in Majorca but I’m just going round in circles and need to book something soon.

We’re avoiding self catering apartments/villas as we’d prefer somewhere with lots on for toddlers - kids club, adventure play, splash pool etc - and a spa for me Wink

We’ve also looked at Pine Cliffs in Portugal which looks v swanky but overpriced.

V grateful for any recommendations!

Hi I'm only new to this forum but we have been a few places. Our little girl will be 4 this summer. .

Best holiday ever on cambrils park resort and are returning in September. Pools amazing. Can stay with them during kids club. Mini disco and pool disco in splash Park. Playground. Massive sandpit. Restaurants on site. Apartments 1, 2 or 3 bed. Lovely apartments spotless. TV in living room and bedroom and nice walk in shower. Crazy golf trampolines and ball pit. Brilliant for young kids and only 10 mins transfer from reus airpirt.

Bern to Portugal did not like

Bern to zafiro hotel palmanova. Amazing hotel but did not like that area of palmanova but couldn't say enough good thing about hotel

Cala bona and protur bonaire. Also excellent. Loved walk to cala bona. Hotel so clean. Splash Park. Playground. Soft play area and kids disco

Sunset beach club lovely hotel also in belamadena. Loads to do around if your little one is good for going in the buggy.. My little one was only 15 months so dont know much about activities at this hotel as didn't use them but pool lovely.

I am looking at zafiro can picafort for June as looks really nice.

Hooe this is of some help to you

I've been to Pine Cliffs and I do think it's very expensive for the money. DS was 23m when we went.

Near the Benalmadena suggestion that the PP recommended, we've stayed at the Sol House which is on the border of Torremolinos and Benalmadena. The room we had had a separate living area so we didn't have to sit in silence the whole evening. It had a children's pool and was very easy with a pushchair /toddler to walk along the promenade by the beach.

With the facilities you want, there's not many aparthotels which do this sort of thing. Beyond Martinhal, Pine Cliffs and there's a similar version in Greece I can't think of many other options.
