Take swimming things if your little ones want to go in the paddling pool. I forget this every time so my kids haven't been in there once .

If your older children are likely to want to go on things like the climbing wall/inflatable slide/panning for gold etc it's worth paying £6 for the wristband so they can go on as much as they like. You can sit at the picnic tables in the middle and have a relaxing cup of tea while they get their money's worth!

The food is dire and expensive so take a picnic.

Don't go on a rainy day - you won't get your money's worth. On a sunny day it's more than worth it.

I think it's a horrible place .Go for a walk on South Downs with picnic instead.
