Winter sun

Usually go away in summer, and usually Greece..but going to branch out and go away next December (hopefully). Thinking of Lanzarote or Tenerife, for some sun. What are they like, any recommendations of resorts to look at or to avoid?

Tenerife will feel a bit warmer as Lanzarote tends to be windy. Stay in the south of Tenerife for best weather - most popular areas are Costa Adeje, Los Cristianos or Playa de las Americas

La Gomera is really lovely. You take a ferry from South Tenerife, about an hour. It's great for walking. The main resort is Valle Gran Rey and even that is very low key. You can swim but it's not really a beachy island.
