I have one day in Amsterdam on Monday. I have been before sand seen all the usual sights.

Any tips for the Christmas markets? Anything free or very cheap that we could consider?

We will be there between around 9am and 5pm. Just myself and DP.

Many thanks in advance!

Have a Christmas-themed afternoon tea at The Duchess.
Before you leave, when it’s getting dark, walk along by the sides of the canals to soak up the amazing light festival. Many canal cruise companies have special ‘light festival’ cruises which is the ultimate way to see the lights, but I’m not sure that they’d be finished by 5pm. Guided walking tours are also common, or if you prefer to go at your own speed, there’s a special app which will take you on a walking tour of the artworks – and give you information about each one.
