Any top tips for an 8hr flight wth 6/12 old?

Are there any particular requests I could put to the airline which may ease our passage??

make sure you sit in the bulkhead seat - get there early and make a big fuss!! there's loads more room there. get a basinette too - a skycot. try book this well in advance. and off course a good dose of paracetamol/piriton or chamomilla if you aren't into real drugs.
