Any recommendations for a restaurant near Oxford Circus?

I'm taking dd to see The Sound of Music soon and wondered if there was anywhere we could go nearby for something to eat beforehand.... she will try pretty much anything so doesn't have to be specifically geared towards children

Don't know myself but try toptable.com - you can put in the kind of restaurant you like, a price range, look at recommendations & menu and even boook online

Thanks for the suggestion but haven't been able to find anything that seems suitable.

Anyone else?

Pontis does nice food, just round the back of Oxford Circus. Not posh, Italian food, cafeteria style, but nice all the same - had lovely meatballs and pasta a few months ago with my ds. They have a website if you Google it.

Carluccios in St Christopher's Place

There is a branch of Carluccio's on St. Christopher's place

My daughter is also made to feel very welcome [[http://www.zillialdo.com/Signor_Zilli_Bar/Signor_Zilli_Bar.htm here]

I know this looks naff, but it's really rather good. Huge portions mind.

Thanks - looks like we may go for Carluccios- there is one at Market Place too which would be nearer to the theatre. Dd hasn't been there before though I go quite regularly as there is one local to us.
