Barbados recommendations please!

Thinking of Barbados over the new year. Short notice due to leave not being available before.

Haven't got a clue where to start. We have a 3 year old DD so would prefer an apartment with self catering and pool facilities.

Also looking for day tours or activities.

Any recommendations gratefully received.

We booked an apartment via AirBNB near hometown had a small pool and was close to the polo club.

Fantastic hotel.

Not sure where the hotel came from. Fantastic holiday.

It’s super safe over there and everyone is friendly. We hired a car for a week and travelled around. We really liked it all.

Have a look at The Crane resort. If you have a big budget perhaps get an Airbnb or book an apartment on the West Coast.

We stayed at Sugar Beach, between the Garrison and St Lawrence Gap. It was lovely with excellent service.

Crane worked for us with a toddler. Great apartments. If budget can stretch I would go for one of the ones with a private pool and little garden (not the plunge pool, they are absolutely freezing and unusable!)

Thanks

We don’t do resorts.

DDs also did loads of water sports.

BubblesBuddy · 26/11/2019 10:54

Private pools and 3year olds don’t mix unless they are fenced.

You might find flights are fully booked or very very expensive at this late stage.

lovelyupnorth · 26/11/2019 11:09

Especially with Thomas cook going bang we found January cheap for flights.

Butterfly beach, they have little kitchen In the some of the rooms but can have B&B. On the beach and close to oistins, run trips from there too

We had no problems with a private pool and a toddler. We obviously didn’t let him go outside on his own anyway. The doors do have locks!

What if did mean is that I could lie in the sun during nap time rather than be stuck in a hotel room.
