Lake Garda at Easter

We're planning a two centre holiday round Lake Garda, travelling by train. We'd like to stay in Sirmione and possibly Lazise or Malcesine. We'd like a lakeside hotel with views, walks, things to do e.g. castles, thermal baths, etc.

Which would you recommend? Or would you recommend another town on Garda? Thanks!

Are you taking young children or teens?

We stayed in Limone when we went in early May for our honeymoon. It was lovely.

We stayed at the Hotel Park Imperial. It has a pool, spa etc.

If you’re car-less, then staying at Lazise will be so much easier than Malcesine. Firstly, as I understand it, it appears more straightforward to travel from Sirmione to Lazise, and secondly it’s got a lot more for teens to do.
You’ll also be able to get to Movieland and Gardaland (which are a must for teens!) more easily. Movieland is actually in Lazise so you should be able to walk it or get a local bus. Gardaland Park is only 2 Km from Peschiera del Garda railway station (which is easily accessible by train from Lazise). There’s a free shuttle bus between Peschiera railway station and the Parkevery 30 minutes.
