Morning

I know, I know - screen time is bad but a necessary evil at times. We're planning a trip to NZ for 5 weeks with a 3 year old and 6 month old. We'll definitely need some TV ready on the iPad to entertain my 3 year old when travelling. I'm trying to work out the best way to do this because with past experience of travel that a lot of content expires after a certain number of days so won't last us the whole trip and critically the LONG journey home.
For info she loves Peppa Pig and we have prime and Netflix. My mobile contract includes overseas roaming.

Thanks!

I have Netflix and they have a 'download for watching offline' tool, I used it for a short haul holiday recently. I'm unsure of the memory allowance on it but I managed to download about 20 half hour episodes which are then available for 48 hours after you first started watching them. So you might need to find WiFi whilst away to download some more for the way home!
We have had portable DVD players too, in the past. They were handy. We took the dc favourite discs out of the boxes and into one of those dvd books to save space.

Thanks. Can you download from Netflix while you're abroad though?

I think you might need a UK VPN but it's probably worth it for a month.
I use my work VPN abroad and download BBC as well.

We were able to use our Netflix apps on our tablets in Costa Rica, Sri Lanka & France (these are the only places I remember my DD trying & suceeding) so I’m guessing you may be able to do the same in NZ
