looking for recommendation of Miami hotel

Planning a holiday in Florida next summer. mostly in the Orlando area, but we are planning on 2 days / 1 night in Miami to go to a baseball game and see the city.

Looking for a hotel recommendation - 2 adults, 3 teenage kids so ideally either a 2 bed apartment or two large rooms in a hotel. Not fussed about super luxurious - it's for one night and we're planning on seeing as much as we can. Preferably one of the lovely pastel coloured 1950s buildings on Miami Beach, or close by. There is a lot to choose from!

That particular area of Ocean Drive on South Beach can be really noisy even at 3 in the afternoon and the music from the bars/restaurants on the ground level of those hotels can go onto 3.00am!. I would avoid staying on that particular part of Ocean Drive (the rooms in those art deco hotels can be tiny as well).

You'd be better off staying elsewhere on Miami Beach or even in downtown Miami like the area of Brickell (Hampton Inn and suites are family friendly and they also provide breakfast as part of the room rate).

Ubers are widely available and one of those could get you out to the Marlins stadium.
