Right then you marvellous ladies, any advice / tips / suggestions welcome.
We are hoping to travel to Morocco in October for 1 week - it is our 'family homeymoon' after our 'adult honeymoon' weekend! So we are after...
Romance, adventure, kid friendly hotel (not neccesrily with a kids club or anything, but just somewhere we know they'll be welcomed, able to eat / sleep e.t.c...)
The LO's are 13 months and 7 years?

We went to an all inclusive in Agadir - I cant remember the name!! .. but we were all ill for nearly the whole 2 weeks, so Im afraid I wouldnt recommend it.
The facilities were good - had an indoor amphitheatre (so if you see that on the hotel stuff you know it was prob the same) - food ok but nothing speacial -but the entertainment was mostly basically just miming to music!!
Also found the shop keepers very hassily -
Sorry I cant be more positive - I was really looking forward to it as well!
Hopefully someone else might have a more positive slant for you!

My friend went to Dubai in May and found it very very hot. TBH, they barely left their hotel. Guess it depends on what kind of holiday you want.

I've always fancied Morocco.

What aboiut Turkey?
Or Canaries?

I found Marrakesh very child friendly although not very child orientated. Obviously there are some nice parks for children and many interesting things in the main square for them to see, like the serpent charmers (or whatever the name is in English), the musicians, etc.

However, I didn't enjoy AT ALL the haggling. Normally I enjoy it but here was very irritating, too pushy, too expensive (like asking you to pay top UK prices for a bad quality item) and then getting all nasty if you decided not to buy the thing at all. Therefore, if you want to do some shopping, keep to the residential areas (and you would find a better selection of things, and cheaper even if they have fixed prices)

What I loved was the friendliness towards children, and how helpful the locals were too. My sister had a bad problem with her ear on the way there so we ended up seeing an ENT doctor over there. That morning was the best of the trip and it may be because we saw how the normal people live, how do they behave in a normal not touristic situation, it was the best part of the trip Lovely people, everybody was very kind, welcoming and helpful, and yeah... we also had some fun (like my sister ending up with orange ears but that's another story )

The food was great and being unexpensive enough, you can allow yourself to eat at the best restaurants daily without breaking the bank.

Hhhm...maybe rethinking then. DS really deserves something that is fun for him...aaah this is hard...

This is based on absolutlely no personal experince of the country but to be honest it's not the first place I'd think of taking a 13 month old and a 7 year old for a good time. Just my opinion though.

Just want some lovely weather guaranteed an something a little bit more unusual than waterparks and theme parks...

We went at the end of December and the weather was lovely!

You wouldn't see me there over the summer, though.
