Looking at campsites fro next year, this one gets some great reviews.
But looking at the map, the part of the campsite near the pool- la prairie- looks very busy. The plots look very close together - is this the case?
I’d prefer to be a bit further away- lea terraces- but not sure that’s best for the kids!

I've been there and really liked it - but we were in a Eurocamp mobile on the hill above the campsite. The plots were quite close together as I recall. Pools were busy. The river running though is lovely and the onsite restaurant is fabulous. Nice bar with entertainment. The wine was cheap! www.lesranchisses.fr/camping/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/plan-2020-FR.pdf Are you camping or wanting to rent a mobile home?

It was nice on the Les Terraces - only a 5 min walk to the centre via an underpass, but lovely and quiet and with a great view over the valley. Slightly uphill on the way back. No-one traipsing past every 5 mins.

My dd was about 10 I think. She took herself off to the shop/kids club. It all felt quite safe.

Thanks @TheresWaldo, I’m looking at renting one of their mobile homes.
The reviews on trip advisor look great.

We really enjoyed it. Some stunning scenery nearby. Some of the local roads are bit scary if you don't like heights. Prices for eating/drinking were very reasonable compared to other parts of France. It says you can walk in to Largentiere but in reality that was a bit of a hike. Great Go Ape place further up the valley. The adults only pool/spa was lovely if you can escape the kids for a bit Grin
