I love Cyprus, have been many times, however I haven't been in December so i couldn't advise on weather. I would recommend visiting Paphos Castle, and the Tombs of the Kings, and Kings Avenue Mall. The Harbour is the place with most cafes etc but i'm not sure how many will still be open in the winter months x

Thank you 😃 we’re only a 20 minute walk to the marina and from the looks on trip advisor everyone seems to say to go to the marina 🚤 I’ll definitely look into the tombs etc thank you 😃

A bit of an enigma – westernised but with heavy African influences, and, of course, a line down the middle of it, with the Turks on one side and the Greeks on the other. Also reassuringly familiar, with lots of family-friendly restaurants for all budgets and driving on the left-hand side!
Coral Bay in Paphos is calm and child friendly, with a lovely harbour with coloured fishing boats, boat-trips and a covered market. Then bribe the kids with ice creams to walk up to Paphos Castle, with brilliant views. A short walk from the harbour you’ll see ancient mosaics (the site at Kato) from Roman times.

We used to live in Cyprus. Winter was when we spent most weekends in hotels in Pahos because it was so cheap for us!

Dec will be t shirt weather for you, but not sea swimming. The water parks are closed. Does your hotel have a heated pool?

It's easy to walk around Paphos, and there is a regular bus that runs the length of the town.

If you hire a car you can travel easily between Pahos and Limassol (takes an hour or so). Limassol has a large Mall with an indoor ice skating rink which is good fun. You could also see the snow in the Troodos mountains and visit Kurion acropolis

Paphos Bird Park is a mini zoo that is nice to walk around - small animals and birds but they also have 2 giraffes you can feed.

Do a trip to no man's land, the history is so interesting, I knew little about it before going. The most fascinating to me was going on the beach at Famagusta and looking back at the deserted hotels from where all the tourists were evacuated, via the beach and RN ships, having to leave most of their belongings behind.

On top of the still deserted hotels are snipers - it is really erie but so so fascinating.

We spent October half term in Cyprus and really loved it.

Sightseeing: Ruins at Kato at Paphos and Kurion in Limassol were absolute great. We missed the Tombs of the Kings and other spots so there is really a lot around Paphos.

Nicosia is an experience. We are Germans and remember the divided Berlin but for DD it was a strange experience. The Turkish side has beautiful inns to view and while we didn't visit the museums we were told we missed a lot.

The painted churches in the Toodros mountains are something you can't really see anywhere else. You need a hire car and I would double check about weather conditions. We had end twenties and sun at the coast and 10 and rain in the mountains.

Thank you so much for all your recommendations I’ll definitely take a little look it all those ideas 😃 weather wise it’s looking 20’s during the day and chilly at night but I stay in Scotland so that’ll be an improvement from our weather 🙂
