Short european tour?

I've seen a few deals in Groupon for short european tours where you get trains from one city to another and the whole trip lasts say 3-5 days.

I'm just wondering if another has done a package deal like this? And also if there are any travel companies you can recommend for a trip like this?

I'm not 100 percent sure if Groupon would be the best people to book through.

If it’s 3-5 days is it 2 cities? Not done this via Groupon but probably pretty easy to book yourself and probably cheaper?

We did this in France, but booked direct.

Some of the deals have 2-3 cities depending on how many days you go for.

Who did you book with directly?

Did you just get cheap flights and then hotels separate?

We’ve done multiple train trips from city to city, usually (but not always) within one country. Just use the local train provider (SNCF, Trenitalia etc). You can also do it all on The Trainline online, including cross borders journeys. And yes, fly into one city and out the other (I use Skyscanner and Kayak for the cheapest flights - if you’re parking at a U.K. airport, just specify one U.K. airport). Hotels or apartments I book through booking.com (going on central location and price) & check reviews on Tripadvisor. It’s all really easy to do - honest! Looking at the Groupon deals previously, either flight time or hotel location hasn’t been great. Just get yourself some good travel insurance that includes decent Scheduled Airline Failure and book it by credit card if you can.
