We're taking teenaged dc to Prague for the weekend, does anyone have any ideas what to do please?
We're planning a boat trip, lots of walking and sightseeing and we know about the John Lennon wall and the dancing buildings.
Last time we went was without kids, we spent lots of time in bars drinking cheap lager - the kids disapprove!

You're bound to go to Wenceslas Square at some point. When you're there you MUST go to Vytopna Railway restaurant! Your drinks are brought to you onboard a miniature railway train which weaves on a network of railway lines around the restaurant and even across your table. We were fascinated by the tunnels, drawbridges, ponds etc...The food is mostly pasta and pizza, reasonably priced and a good view over the square.
Black Light Theatre is a mix of ballet, animated film, illusions, puppets and mime artists. The shows are highly visual.
Watch the amazing Astronomical Clock performance on the hour.
The Funicular Railway up Petrin Hill is good fun in itself. At the summit are landscaped gardens and several attractions including an observation tower and a hall of mirrors.

Our teens quite enjoyed seeing the changing of the guard at the castle.

Probably a bit late for this, but avoid the stag parties. DD was in Prague over a weekend in the summer and the whole experience was spoiled by all the drunken stag parties. IMO Prage is the new Dublin stag party destination.

There's a really good little museum of film tucked away in a back street. The hall of mirrors at the top of the funicular is small but funny. The castle was impressive. The kids were obessed by the doughnut ice cream cones.

There is a museum of torture instruments. We didn't go there though. The Senses Museum was very good though. We went to the top of the television tower which had amazing views and a nice bar/ cafe for hot chocolate. The boat trips are nice too. I don't know if your teens are girls but they have Sephora over there which most teens love for make up
