I think that we are probably going to go to MrsSpoons apartment in Spain next year but the friend we are going with wants me to "shop around" a bit.

Sooooo

In a nutshell there are 3 adults, 1 child (age 4) and 3 infants.
One room to fit us all in, preferably with kitchen facilities.
Not fussed about hotel or self catering, must have a pool though.

Budget no more than £800!

Have you looked at holidays in Egypt by the sea. It will be hot, but nice. Try Sharm el Sheik.

Egypt is very cheap and it's low season there now, so even cheaper. Just make sure you go to Sharm or Hurgada and not one of the resorts outside Hurgada. If you are in one of those two, then your meal options are plentiful and cheap.
