Disney World America... What To Take?

DaniellaC · 16/08/2007 13:45

I know I'm leaving this a bit late as I'm going tomorrow but does anyone have a list of things I should take with me. I'm going to Disney World in America for two weeks. My parents are working so I can't get them to help me
TIA

Usual stuff for any warm place - very important, a UV protective swimsuit and hat.

TBH, with the exchange rate atm, I would not rush out and buy anything here - just get what you need and don't already have over there. Your customs allowance back to the UK is something like £140 per person, so you'd have to buy a lot to go over this.

You can also easily get toiletries, sun cream, bug spray over there.

You will have the best time ever. Top tip buy one of the sprays that are sold in Disneyworld that have fans attached that way you keep cool and get sprinkled. The Strollers to hire are also a great idea unless you are taking your own.

comfy shoes/trainers are a must as you'll be walking a LOT!

shorts, t-shirts, vest tops, light jacket/cardigan for the evening

sunglasses, hat, suntan lotion, good (safe) bag to put money etc in, camera, swimming stuff, beach towel....

in disney you'll be rushing round everywhere going on rides so main thing is to be cool and comfortable.

\comfortable shoes for everyone...the parks are HUGE. We scoffed at all the Americans looking naff in 'sneakers' on day one....after hobbling back to hotel for a foot soak, we were both in our trainers on day tw0! Also, if you see it at the airport, 'A Brits Guide to Orlando', which sounds crap, is actually FAB...tells you on what day each park is busyest so you can avoid, and what rides to head for first to avoid queues....v handy.
